Sometimes natural disasters (such as floods, earthquakes, etc.) and social, political, and economic crises force people or families to leave their residences and settle in another place. This displacement is sometimes voluntary and sometimes compulsory. Until now, the emotional effects of this voluntary or compulsory distance from the hometown have been studied with the title of “migration literature”. This research aims to introduce a neglected stub template in migration literature for the first time, which we call "Abandonment Literature". The statistical population investigated in this research was the prose narrative texts in the Roshd-e-Danesh-Amouz magazine of the 1360s; on one hand, Iran was involved in the crisis of imposed war in the mentioned decade, and on the other hand, in these magazines, the narrative prose of both students and adults (for the children's audience) has been recorded, and it gives the possibility to examine the difference between children's and adults' views on this category. The research method in this article is analytical-descriptive based on content analysis and theoretical framework, exploratory and unprecedented. The results show that the components of nostalgia, exile, reviewing memories, and identity crisis are common in migration literature and the six components of time, geography, language, hope for the future/hope to return, modern heroisms, and rules and policies are the distinctions of abandonment and migration literature.
